Rosenmüller, Ernst Friedrich Karl, Scholia in Vetus Testamentum in compendium redacta (Lipsiae: sumtibus Jo. Ambros. Barthii, 1828-1836).
The work of abbreviation was carried out by Jo. Chr. Sigism. Lechner (vol. 1-5 under the author's direction), as is stated in Rosenmüller's note to readers at the start of the first volume on the Pentateuch (1828) III-IV; however Lechner's name does not appear on the title-pages of the first five volumes. Lechner was fully responsible for vol. 6 which appeared after Rosenmüller's death in 1835. Details about the six volumes follow:
Vol. 1: Scholia im Pentateuchum (1828).
Vol. 2: Scholia in Jesajae Vaticinia (1835).
Vol. 3: Scholia in Psalmos (1831).
Vol. 4: Scholia in Jobum (1832).
Vol. 5: Scholia in Ezechielis Vaticinia (1833).
Vol. 6: Scholia in Prophetas Minores (von Jo. Chr. Sigism. Lechner herausgegeben) (1836).
No further volumes of the Compendium appeared.
